Sameea Kazmi

Sameea began volunteering with LACCM’s Elder Unit in February 2008.  In August 2008, she was hired to coordinate LACCM’s Zarrow Homelessness Advocacy Project, which is a collaboration with the Worcester County Bar Association.  As the Zarrow Fellow, Sameea conducts outreach to many homeless shelters and service providers throughout Worcester County, and represents clients who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in various areas of the law including housing, government benefits and family law issues. She also coordinates a private bar panel which provides outreach to the shelters and takes some cases on for counsel and representation.

Prior to joining LACCM, Sameea worked for several years at AXA Advisors, LLC in Troy, MI, managing a team responsible for creating and designing estate and financial planning marketing materials.  During law school, she interned at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and at the Legal Services Center in Jamaica Plain.

She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi.  Sameea is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Michigan.
